True independence means that Preshil has always relied on the support of its community to grow. Past parents and alumni gave generously to create the buildings and grounds our children enjoy today. The Preshil Foundation celebrates and continues this tradition of giving encouraging the whole community to participate. All donations are welcome at Preshil – not just funds, but also time, skills and enthusiasm!
The Preshil Foundation Board is comprised of volunteers drawn from our community and appointed by School Council. The Foundation is mandated to raise funds to enhance Preshil’s facilities and infrastructure, ensuring that the school remains at the forefront of progressive education in Australia for the next 80 years and beyond.
Enriching Preshil, Benefiting Our Children
Over the past few years and with the amazing support of Preshil families and friends our fundraising has:
- Helped deliver a new, multi-purpose library building for our secondary school students;
- Supported a comprehensive heritage review of the primary campus, and funded important building conservation work;
- Renovated and refreshed Arlington House and the reception and office areas at both campuses;
- Funded landscaping works across both campuses and provided a new games surface for our primary students to enjoy.
Following the release of the school’s Strategic Plan, we will continue raising funds for new priority works.
At our primary campus, we have been focused on significant restoration works to the Kevin Borland Hall, the installation of new kitchen equipment across our classrooms, expanding our nursery school facilities, landscaping and other restoration works.
At our secondary campus, we are creating a purpose-built Middle Years facility, upgrading the black Box Theatre and transforming our campus entry to improve safety and amenity.
Each project will directly benefit our children – improving their learning opportunities, school experience, self-expression and enjoyment. We can’t wait to start bringing these exciting changes to life.
