We are delighted to share the fantastic progress and achievements of our Year 11 and Year 9 debating teams as they continue to shine in their respective competitions.  Our courageous students have shown incredible dedication, skill, and teamwork, resulting in outstanding performances and impressive results.

In the realm of debating, our Year 11 team remains undefeated, showcasing their exceptional ability to articulate arguments, think critically, and effectively engage with their opponents. Their consistent success is a testament to their hard work, extensive research, and the unwavering support they receive from their fellow team members and their fearless leader, Matt Barker.

Furthermore, our Year 9 debating team has already achieved their first victory, marking the beginning of what promises to be a bright and successful debating journey. These young debaters have demonstrated remarkable growth, quickly grasping the intricacies of logical reasoning, persuasive communication, and rebuttal techniques. We are confident that their dedication and perseverance will continue to propel them to further victories in the coming competitions.

To our Year 11 and Year 9 debating teams, we are immensely proud of your achievements thus far. Your hard work, resilience, and ability to present compelling arguments are truly commendable. Embrace the challenges that lie ahead, continue to push your boundaries, and always remember that the skills you are developing in debating will serve you well in all aspects of your lives.

As we celebrate the successes of our debating teams, let us also recognise the importance of respectful and constructive dialogue in shaping our society. Debating encourages open-mindedness, empathy, and a willingness to consider diverse perspectives, essential qualities that foster understanding and cooperation.
