I discovered hockey when I was 12 years old from my dad and have loved it ever since. I first started with one training session and a game per week and now I train three times per week and often play more than one game per week.

It keeps me active and busy, which I really enjoy. Over the years I have found my niche in hockey, which is as a goalie/keeper.

I love how fast-paced it is, even scary at times, and I feel that this role in hockey keeps my mind focused and agile because I have to problem-solve at lightning speed.

It’s all about using your knowledge of the game to find good solutions but at a really high speed. Working through all of these sessions and games, I’ve been able to grow as a keeper, which has led me to be selected in Victorian Teams for U13, U15 and even U18 as of this year.

I’m very proud of my achievement and hope to grow more as a hockey player.
