This little library is a wonderful resource for anyone looking to read, learn, and grow. Our Lighthouse students inaugurated the opening of this special space for the community in Term 1 of 2023!

The Street Library is a concept that has been gaining popularity around the world. It is essentially a miniature library that is open to everyone, 24/7, and is located in a public space. The idea is simple – people can borrow a book or leave a book for others to enjoy. It’s a great way to share knowledge, stories, and information within the community.

Preshil’s Street Library is a shining example of this concept in action. It is a beautifully maintained little library, located at the front gates of our Arlington Campus on Barkers Road. The library is open to everyone and anyone can borrow a book or leave a book to share with others.

The library is stocked with a small range of books, including children’s books, fiction, non-fiction, and reference books. There is something for everyone, no matter what your interests are. The library is also regularly restocked with new books, so there is always something new to discover..

If you’re interested in getting involved, there are many ways you can help. You can donate books to the library, either by dropping them off at the library itself or by contacting the organisers directly (communications@preshil.vic.edu.au). You can also help spread the word about the library to your friends and neighbours, or even start your own Street Library in your own community.

So why not come and check out Preshil’s Street Library on Barkers Road outside of the Arlington Campus? It’s a wonderful resource for anyone looking to read, learn, and grow, and it’s a great way to connect with others in your community. Whether you’re a seasoned bookworm or just starting your reading journey, there is something for everyone at Preshil’s Street Library.
