Preshil offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
Recognised around the world, the programme places emphasis on personal interest, independent research and clear, criteria-based assessment, rather than ranking students against one another.
The IB enables a more holistic and collaborative culture, where individual inquiry, community involvement, creativity and global citizenship are genuinely valued. Which, at Preshil, aligns naturally with the way we’ve always approached learning.
University admission
In Victoria, students completing the IB Diploma are required to sit the General Achievement Test (GAT) in order to receive an ATAR. While the GAT is used across the VCE to help verify assessment standards, quality assurance in the IB Diploma is maintained through external moderation by the International Baccalaureate.
IB results are converted to a notional ATAR for university entry, and this conversion is typically very favourable.
More information on the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme curriculum can be accessed in this handbook.
