A Night at the Theatre: Mackenzie
Our VCE Drama students had a fantastic time, seeing the sold out and critically acclaimed “Mackenzie” on Thursday night at the Arts Centre.
A retelling of Macbeth in the style of 90s Child Pop stars, this production transcended the styles of comedy and eclectic theatre.

Refreshed and Renovated Tree House Art Room
We are delighted to welcome our community back for Term Three to a beautifully restored Tree House Art Room and surrounding outdoor spaces.
There are some places that hold a special place in the heart of a school community. For many at Preshil, the Tree House Art Room is one of them.
Thoughtfully renewed, this much-loved part of our Arlington Campus once again provides children with a place to create, explore, imagine and connect. Together, with the restored Footy Field, the space feels open, calm and full of possibility.
It reflects the important role that thoughtful learning environments play in fostering curiosity, creativity and a sense of belonging. At our Whole School Meeting, the children brainstormed ways that we can create a celebration for our community. Stay tuned for a big opening.
We can’t wait to see the Tree House filled once again with creativity, conversation, laughter and the wonderful ideas of our children.

Hadestown Sold Out
We are absolutely thrilled to announce that all four performances of Hadestown: Teen Edition are now officially sold out!
A huge thank you to everyone who has purchased tickets and supported our talented cast, crew and creative team. After nine months of preparation, we can’t wait to share this extraordinary production with you.
Opening Night is Thursday, 30 July at Chapel off Chapel - we look forward to welcoming our audiences for what promises to be a truly unforgettable production.
Preshil Appoints New Chair of Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) Committee
We are pleased to congratulate Jordan Holloway-Clarke on her appointment as Chair of Preshil's Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) Committee.
Jordan was unanimously elected by the committee, reflecting the respect she has earned and the confidence her colleagues have in her leadership.
As a proud Nyamal Jaru woman, educator and emerging leader, Jordan brings valuable knowledge, experience and perspective to this role. She is deeply committed to supporting the wellbeing, belonging and aspirations of First Nations children and families, and to fostering strong relationships across our community.
This appointment recognises the contribution Jordan already makes to Preshil and the important role she will play in helping guide our ongoing reconciliation journey. We are grateful for her willingness to take on this responsibility and look forward to supporting her leadership across the School community.

Year 12 Debating
Preshil’s Year 12 debating team demonstrated excellent adaptability and teamwork in Round 4 of the DAV competition.
Arguing the negative side of the secret topic, "That the Australian Government should fund free education about Artificial Intelligence," the team delivered apersuasive case under the pressure of limited preparation time.
A special congratulations to Kai, Ethan and Will, who rose to the challenge with confidence and composure. Their ability to quickly analyse complex issues, develop compelling arguments and respond effectively in rebuttal was a credit to their preparation and collaborative approach. The team gave an impressive performance and a brought a sense of fun and creative professionalism to the evening.
Sandra Olarte Honoured with 2026 Australian Council for Educational Leaders (ACEL) Award
Congratulations to Sandra Olarte, our Kindergarten teacher and leader, on being recognised with the 2026 Australian Council for Educational Leaders (ACEL) New Voice in Early Childhood Educational Leadership Award.
This recognition celebrates not only Sandra’s leadership, but her unwavering belief in what early childhood education can be when it is built on trust, curiosity and genuine relationships.
At Preshil, we know that children flourish when the adults around them are also encouraged to learn, grow and lead. Sandra embodies that every day. Her thoughtful leadership, deep respect for young children and commitment to creating a learning community where everyone belongs reflect the very best of our school.

Led by Chess Australia Pty Ltd under the guidance of International Master and FIDE-accredited coach Leonid Sandler, students will build valuable skills including critical thinking, problem-solving, concentration and strategic planning. Whether they're learning the basics or refining advanced tactics, Chess Club is a fantastic way for students to challenge themselves, grow in confidence and enjoy the excitement of the game.
