Welcome To Another Exciting Week At Preshil.
We hope you enjoy reading about activities across our Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary campuses.
Halloween Spirit At Arlington
A Day Full of Creative Costumes and Halloween Fun!
Arlington looked a little different today, with all sorts of colourful characters, spooky creatures and familiar faces making their way around campus.
Our students certainly embraced the Halloween spirit, bringing plenty of personality, creativity and a little mischief to the day. We even spotted a few students dressed as crewmates from the popular game Among Us.
It was lovely to see everyone getting into the fun, with plenty of smiles, laughter and some wonderfully creative costumes on display!
A Special Morning Tea For World Teachers’ Day
Celebrating the Wonderful Educators Who Make Preshil So Special
There was a little extra sweetness at Preshil this week as our teachers came together for a special morning tea in celebration of World Teachers’ Day!
With a lovely spread of homemade treats, beautiful flowers and heartfelt messages from students, it was a wonderful opportunity to show our appreciation for the incredible people who make such a difference in our school community.
A particularly lovely touch were the handmade cards from our students, filled with colourful drawings and thoughtful words of thanks.
To all our wonderful teachers, thank you for the care, creativity and dedication you bring to Preshil each and every day. We hope you felt as appreciated as you truly are!
The Stage Is Set for President Lear!
An Incredible Turnout for Our 2027 Production Auditions
Excitement is building for Preshil’s 2027 production of President Lear, with an incredible 43 auditions held this week featuring students from Years 7 to 11!
The talent on display was nothing short of remarkable, with some of the strongest auditions we've ever seen at Preshil. A huge congratulations to every student who stepped forward, gave it their all and had the courage to give it a go!
Callbacks will take place next Thursday, with the full cast set to be announced on Monday 9 November. We can't wait to see this exciting production begin to take shape!

A New Home For Our Cubby Tools!
Following the renovation of our much-loved Treehouse, Arlington’s cubby-making tools needed a new home.
We now have a garden shed, and today Greg was busy building a dedicated tool wall to go inside, complete with hanging spaces for hammers, saws and other cubby-making essentials.
With everything organised and ready to go, our young builders will soon be back to doing what they do best: imagining, creating and building!
A Better Compass App Is On Its Way
From early November, the Compass app will receive its biggest upgrade yet, shaped by feedback from parents, students and staff.
"Do I need to do anything?"
No. The upgrade arrives as a normal app update, so there’s nothing new to download. If your app doesn’t update automatically, update it from the App Store or Google Play. You may be asked to sign in again with your usual Compass details.
"What’s new?"
An improved absence form, easier conference bookings, widgets for your phone’s
home and lock screen, light and dark modes, and Apple Pay on iPhone for some payments. Students will also find timetable and feed widgets handy.
"Where can I get help?"
Visit the parent guide at compass.education/guide. Or queries can be directed to Preshil's IT Support at rtg@preshil.vic.edu.au
