Hello Preshil community,
Welcome to another edition of the Weekly!
As we wrap up Week 4 and what has already been a jam-packed start to the term, we take a moment to reflect on just some of the highlights from this past week.
Some of our enthusiastic Arlington students have self-nominated to compete in the annual Inter-school Downball Championship. After the fun, teamwork and camaraderie of last year’s event, we excitedly returned with a new team of keen participants.
Meanwhile, at Blackhall we have just concluded our Science Week Festival, a fantastic celebration of curiosity and inquiry. You can read more about this below, but suffice to say it was an inspiring opportunity for students to explore and engage with the world through a scientific lens.
Last Saturday, our ski trip group returned from a week in New Zealand, where they embraced local culture and enjoyed the breathtaking alpine slopes. With a quarter of our high school students participating, it was a memorable adventure filled with connection and discovery.
And finally, our high school students are also busily preparing for the fast-approaching school production. It’s wonderful to witness the energy, commitment and creativity they are bringing to this collective expression.
There is so much to be excited about as this term unfolds—and we’re only just getting started!
A quick reminder: Monday 18 August is a mid-term break—no students will be on campus that day.
Warmly,
Aaron Mackinnon
Principal
