Welcome To Another Exciting Week At Preshil.
We hope you enjoy reading about activities across our Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary campuses.
Middle School Information Night
An Exciting Evening as Families Come Together to Celebrate the Next Chapter at Preshil
It was a packed house for our Middle School Information Night this week, as we welcomed both current Preshil families and new families joining us in 2027.
The evening was a wonderful opportunity for families to reconnect with familiar faces, meet our newly recruited Middle School teachers and hear firsthand the passion and enthusiasm they bring to this exciting new chapter.
There was a real sense of excitement in the room about what we're creating together, and we can't wait to see our Middle School program come to life in 2027!
Come Ride With Us: Free School Bus Travel 26–30 October
Discover the Convenience of Preshil's School Bus Service With a Week of Free Travel
Thinking about giving the Preshil school bus a try? We're offering free bus travel for students from Monday 26 to Friday 30 October, giving families the opportunity to experience the convenience of our new school bus service at no cost.
In partnership with StudentRide, Preshil's school bus service connects families across Melbourne's northern suburbs, with five stops between North Melbourne Station and Clifton Hill Station.
Families can explore routes, stops and timetables, find their nearest stop using the postcode checker and track trips through the StudentRide parent portal and app.
How to Book Your Free Ride
Simply contact StudentRide on (03) 9003 9854 or email preshil@studentride.com.au to arrange your booking. Free trial bookings must be made directly with StudentRide rather than through the app. Both single and return trips are available.
Already Booked and Paid?
Families who have already paid for travel between 26–30 October can request a credit by contacting StudentRide before Friday 30 October.
We encourage families to make the most of this opportunity and give the school bus a go!
VCE VM Students Welcome Bri Young
The VCE VM students are delighted to welcome Bri Young into the fold of our applied learning studio.
Bri has joined the teaching staff at Blackhall and has made a great impression with everyone.
This week we conducted research for the VM Community Canteen project at our local Arthurs Milk Bar. The students are learning about all aspects of the catering industry and looking at ways we can improve our current canteen experience.
Kindergarten Alfresco Art in the Sunshine
Our Young Artists Explore Symmetry and Colour Through a Collaborative Outdoor Art Project
A splash of colour, a little sunshine and plenty of imagination! Our Kindergarten students have been making the most of the beautiful spring weather, taking their creativity outdoors for a colourful art experience.
Inspired by their art teacher's exploration of symmetry using black and grey, our Kindergarten children spent the week creating their own colourful interpretation of the concept. Using vibrant paints and brushes, they experimented with shapes, patterns and colours, discovering how these elements can be reflected and balanced in their artwork.
It was a wonderful opportunity for the children to build on their understanding of symmetry, experiment with different techniques and express their creativity together!
A Moment Of Mindfulness At Arlington
Our Students Explore the Value of Patience, Reflection and Taking Time
Sometimes, the simplest words can carry the most meaning. Outside Kevin Borland Hall, Arlington students have been practising mindfulness through a thoughtful activity centred around patience and the importance of taking time.
Using the outdoor blackboard, students repeatedly wrote the word ‘patience’, creating a colourful visual reminder of the value of slowing down, being present and allowing ourselves the time to learn and grow.
A lovely reminder that mindfulness can be found in even the smallest moments, encouraging our students to approach each day with patience, thoughtfulness and care.
