Welcome to another exciting week at Preshil.
We hope you enjoy reading about activities across our Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary campuses.
Farewell To Our Year 12s
Celebrating the end of an important chapter as our Year 12 students prepare for life beyond Preshil.
Our Year 12 students marked their final day at Preshil this week with plenty of laughter, muck-up day activities and a few upturned tables!
For many, this marks the end of a significant chapter in their learning journey. Some have been part of the Preshil community since Prep, forming friendships that have continued throughout their school years.
As the cohort now prepares for their final exams and the next chapter beyond school, we acknowledge the hard work and dedication that has brought them to this point, along with the teachers and families who have supported them throughout their time at Preshil.
Congratulations to our Year 12 students on reaching this milestone. We wish them all the best for their upcoming exams and look forward to seeing where life beyond Preshil takes them.
Introducing Our New School Bus Route!
With growing enrolments and increasing demand from families in Melbourne’s inner west and northern suburbs, we’re pleased to introduce our new school bus route.
Running from North Melbourne Station through Melbourne’s northern corridor, the service connects families with both our Arlington and Blackhall campuses, with a return journey available each afternoon.
Whether you’re already part of the Preshil community or considering joining us, the new service offers another convenient way to get to and from school.

Reconnecting At Our Secondary School Reunion
A wonderful afternoon of shared memories, familiar faces and reconnecting with the Preshil community.
On Saturday 10 October, we welcomed former students back to Preshil for our Secondary School Reunion, bringing together alumni who share the Blackhall, Kalimna and Yallambee experience.
The afternoon was filled with familiar faces, conversations and plenty of reminiscing, as alumni reconnected with old friends, made new connections and looked back through photographs and memorabilia from their school years.
The gathering also offered an opportunity to say farewell to Kalimna, a place that holds many memories for Preshil students.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the afternoon such a lovely celebration of our shared history and community.
Grow Your Mind At Arlington
Patience is... Waiting for your DooDah sausage!
Our 'Grow Your Mind' character strength for this fortnight is Patience. We're exploring the idea that patience is about much more than simply waiting our turn. It's about recognising frustration, managing our reactions and being gentle with ourselves and others when things become difficult.
Through our Grab Five wellbeing sessions, children are exploring what patience looks and feels like, particularly when learning something new, making mistakes or dealing with situations outside their control.
One simple strategy we're practising is 'Pause, Breathe, Try Again', encouraging children to slow down, notice how they're feeling and consider how they might respond rather than react.
Patience doesn't mean we never feel frustrated. It's about giving ourselves and others the time and space to work through challenges, recognising that not everything needs to happen straight away.
Coffee With Aaron!
A morning tea treat for our Year 12 students as they approach the end of their time at Preshil.
Our Year 12 students enjoyed a special treat this week, with Principal Aaron stepping behind the coffee machine to make coffees for the cohort.
It was a welcome opportunity for students to take a break, catch up with one another and enjoy a moment together before turning their attention to final exams and the next chapter beyond Preshil
